Financial Controller / Analyst

Presenting a recently qualified CA(SA), currently working as a Financial Group Accountant. He came across as a humble and down to earth person, despite clearly being highly intelligent and academically adept. He chose to undertake the BBusSci Honours as his undergrad as it was the more challenging route and offered additional subjects including finance. He completed this with multiple distinction passes and an overall distinction in Management Accounting. He went on to complete his PGDA and board exams without difficulty. He sees himself as someone with high levels of empathy and in the workplace, this means he is naturally inclined to support and assist others. He says he has exceptional planning and organisational skills especially around deadlines. He further says he has a methodical approach to his work, is technically strong and has an analytical problem-solving mindset. He believes he is resilient and able to adapt to new things with ease. He gained significant industry experience in various sectors, including Retail, Real Estate, Renewable Energy, Non-Profit Organizations, as well as Private Equity and says he thrives in a collaborative team environment where efforts are duly rewarded.
