Assistant Finance Operations Manager

Currently seeking a dynamic and well rounded finance professional for a group level Assistant Finance Operations Manager position. The ideal candidate should have 3 years relevant post SAICA articles experience ideally within the Tech, Telecoms or Manufacturing space.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the preparation of the budgets.
  • Serve as a second layer of review of the work of the Finance team with the Finance Manager
  • Managing records and receipts.
  • Reconciling daily, monthly, and yearly transactions
  • Review and reconcile creditors accounts and debtors accounts.
  • Cash book management and Forecasting of Cash Requirements including payments and receipts.
  • Preparing and reviewing balance sheet recons.
  • Supervise the sending of statements every month end to customers.
  • Assist in processing credit notes.
  • Approve Masterfile amendments across systems and tools
  • Assist in resolving financial disputes raised by customers services, sales teams and suppliers
  • Being a point of contact for other departments on financial and accounting matters.
  • Supporting the department heads and executives with projects and financial tasks as and when required.
  • Monitor business trends and product availability to pay the best price for company goods and services without sacrificing quality or delivery time.
  • Support procurement in nurturing relationships with suppliers to negotiate the beset prices for company and in identifying and researching of potential new suppliers.
  • Prepare Tax recons including VAT, Payroll, Income Tax etc.
  • Assist the Finance Lead with Payroll
  • Management of the Fixed Asset Process lifecycle and accounting entries
  • Perform month-end analysis and assist month-end and year-end closing
  • Assist the company with interim and year-end Audits
  • Act as a stand- in for the Finance Head as and when required.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting (Minimum).
  • SAICA Articles completed (Minimum).
  • Experience in a financial role with some previous experience managing staff.
  • Financial Reporting and Budgeting experience
  • Tax Experience is a bonus
  • 3 years post articles experience
