If you’re a proactive, customer-focused, and accountable individual who thrives on simplifying processes and solving complexity, then this opportunity may be your perfect fit.  As a Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading the finance team, including Accountants, Junior Accountants, and the Accounts Payable Manager. You will be responsible for integrating financial information, improving project implementation, and assisting in strategic decision-making alongside the CFO. Additionally, you’ll take the lead on impactful project initiatives within the finance team that affect the broader business.

Responsibilities:

• Monitoring the day-to-day financial operations within the company
• Provide leadership, direction, and management to the finance team
• Take full responsibility for the delivery of the company’s internal and external reporting requirements
• Tracking of expenditure against budget and drive cost optimisation across the business
• Review and approval of monthly and weekly payment batches
• Performing and review of General Ledger account reconciliations
• Responsible for the integrity of all financial records and financial system integrations
• Take full ownership of annual- and interim financial audit (internal and external)
• Work closely with the Group finance teams in alignment of Group processes and procedures
• Management of monthly working capital and cashflow requirements
• Preparation and assistance with departmental budgets
• Implement, manage, and maintain imported stock costings and hedging processes
• Ad hoc tasks as required by the CFO, CEO, group finance team and other relevant stakeholders

Requirements:

• CA(SA)
• 3+ years’ experience in managing a finance team
• Retail experience
• Advanced Excel skills (SQL advantages)
