General Manager: Finance

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation of annual and half yearly accounts to ensure full compliance
  • Oversee the external audit process to ensure that external reporting obligations are met
  • Undertake internal audits for compliance with policies, procedures and corporate governance
  • Oversee the preparation of the annual income taxation returns in conjunction with external taxation consultants
  • Ensure monthly management accounts are prepared and reviewed
  • Ensure monthly reporting packs are submitted
  • Review and give input to the transfer pricing policy
  • Review monthly intercompany charges
  • Develop KPIs for the management of the company’s financial position and Board reporting
  • Oversee the development of company accounting policies
  • People Management of company Financial Managers
  • Support FM’s in the management of their team(s)
  • Compile and Co-ordinate annual insurance declarations, bi-annual budgets and forecasts
  • Drafting of annual financial statements
  • Co-ordinate and set up access and mandates for all banking
  • Annual and ad hoc calculation of base sell rates according to salary
  • Ad hoc reporting
  • Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation
  • Health, Safety and Environment control
  • Quality assurance control

Requirements:

  • Qualified CA(SA)
  • At least 15 years post graduate experience
  • Proven experience working in a large ERP system (SAP preferable)
  • Experience with foreign Company Law and Tax desirable
  • Exposure to EPC/EPCM/Engineering environments (preferable)
