I am recruiting for an exciting position for a Senior Financial Manager to join an established Financial services institute based in Cape Town. The Senior Financial Manager is responsible for the management accounting function in the business, ensuring that accounting processes and controls are in place, ensuring accurate reporting of financial results,  and ensuring that ongoing operations are financially sound.

Responsibilities:

• Financial reporting 
• Budgeting and forecasting 
• Expense tracking, management and reporting, including providing input into the businesses cost allocation model
• Optimising and influencing of cost efficiencies
• Supporting and development of accounting solutions and standards
•  Assisting with implementation of strategies and projects
• Liaising with all internal and external stakeholders e.g. Actuarial, IT, Shared Services and auditors
• Pro-active detection and management of risks
• Identifying BI opportunities to drive informed and data driven decisions in the business

Responsibilities:

• CA(SA) 
• Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role
• Previous financial services experience is essential
• Understanding of Reinsurance
