Senior Regulatory Analyst (Regulatory & Trade Surveillance)
A well-known financial institution is currently seeking a Senior Analyst as part of the market regulatory & trade surveillance division to monitor and review trading activities with the objective of identifying market abuse for further investigation. Your core responsibility will be to review price manipulation and insider trading across all asset classes.
Responsibilities:
- Real time monitoring and review of significant share price and share volume reactions.
- Monitor and independently conduct reviews of allegations of prohibited trading practices.
- Preparation and presentation of referral documentation to the FSCA for further investigation at monthly market abuse meetings.
- Conduct quarterly alert optimization reviews.
- Execution of derivative profit and loss reviews.
- Adjudication of error trades across asset classes.
- Execution of all other surveillance processes in line with agreed timelines.
- Provide feedback to Senior Manager: Market Surveillance / Director: Market Regulation on how the error trade was adjudicated.
- Evidence and log the execution of surveillance processes in line with agreed processes and methodologies.
Requirements:
- Degree in Financial/Quantitative Field (Maths, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Big Data, etc.)
- 5 years’ experience preferably in market surveillance
- Knowledge relating to pricing of derivative instruments
- Machine learning / python knowledge
