My client in the retail sector is seeking an experienced Accountant with SAIPA Articles or solid experience in a similar role.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric
- Completed Bookkeeping diploma or Degree
- Articles preferably
- Minimum of five years’ experience in a similar position
- Pastel experience
- MS Office
Daily tasks:
- Bank processing and reconciliations
- Loan Facility recons
- Journals (General, Inventory, Customer)
- Handling petty cash
Weekly tasks:
- Preparation of EFT’s
- Capturing creditors
- Reconciling creditors
- Submission of information to Nedbank ID facility
Monthly tasks:
- Preparation of payroll
- Payroll journal
- Credit card recons
- Petrol card recons
- Reconciling creditors
- Reconcile GL accounts
- Reconcile foreign travel transactions
- Shareholder loan’s interest
- Reconcile staff / rep expenses
- Accruals
- Depreciation
- Insurance
- Provident fund submissions
- Preparation of Monthly Nedbank audit file (Compiling info)
- Assisting Financial Manager with ad hoc tasks
