My client in the retail sector is seeking an experienced Accountant with SAIPA Articles or solid experience  in a similar role.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric
  • Completed Bookkeeping diploma or Degree
  • Articles preferably
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in a similar position
  • Pastel experience
  • MS Office

Daily tasks:

  • Bank processing and reconciliations
  • Loan Facility recons
  • Journals (General, Inventory, Customer)
  • Handling petty cash

Weekly tasks:

  • Preparation of EFT’s
  • Capturing creditors
  • Reconciling creditors
  • Submission of information to Nedbank ID facility

Monthly tasks:

  • Preparation of payroll
  • Payroll journal
  • Credit card recons
  • Petrol card recons
  • Reconciling creditors
  • Reconcile GL accounts
  • Reconcile foreign travel transactions
  • Shareholder loan’s interest
  • Reconcile staff / rep expenses
  • Accruals
  • Depreciation
  • Insurance
  • Provident fund submissions
  • Preparation of Monthly Nedbank audit file (Compiling info)
  • Assisting Financial Manager with ad hoc tasks
