Candidate Profile for a Chief Financial Officer

A commercially minded CA(SA) with over 17 years’ post-articles experience spanning finance leadership, commercial operations, governance and people management. She spent more than a decade with the local subsidiary of a global luxury goods group, progressing from Financial Manager to CFO, where she oversaw the full finance function, statutory and tax compliance, treasury, internal controls and reporting to an international head office. A career highlight was leading the migration of the finance and workshop systems onto Sage Evolution, successfully completed alongside year-end. She later moved into a broader operational, HR and company secretarial role and was jointly responsible for the local wind-down of the business following its exit from the local market. Most recently she has served as Chief Operating Officer (Commercial) within a jewellery manufacturing and retail group, strengthening controls and governance, leading a global stock take and overseeing multi-country payroll with international exposure across the United Kingdom and Australia. Earlier experience includes financial consulting with a Big4 firm, largely within the public sector. Structured, detail-driven and collaborative, she is now seeking a finance, commercial operations or commercially focused leadership role, with a particular interest in the property sector.
