Candidate Profile for a Client Accountant

A CIMA-qualified finance professional with a BCom Honours in Management Accounting, who has progressed from creditors administration into fund and client accounting roles within financial services. He is currently a Client Accountant within a fund administration business, managing a portfolio of client entities and delivering accurate, timely management accounts and financial reporting, overseeing month-end close activities including journal processing, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations, and preparing management accounts for CLO structures with meaningful financial analysis and variance commentary. He coordinates with clients, auditors, and external service providers to facilitate audits and statutory reporting, and has contributed to process enhancements that improved operational efficiency and reporting controls. Earlier in his career he gained broad accounts payable and creditors management experience, including full ownership of accounts payable functions, supplier reconciliations, and payment processing, following an initial SAIPA training contract where he gained grounding in accounting, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
