Candidate Profile for a Finance Manager

An AGA(SA) with more than 13 years’ experience within a global oil and gas equipment manufacturer, this finance professional combines technical accounting depth, systems thinking and a strong drive to build. He completed his articles at a mid-tier audit firm, where he was leading engagements from his second year. He then set up the finance operating model for a newly acquired entity and led a small team there. He designed its month-end close, SOX framework and reporting models, which brought the business onto a five-day global reporting timetable. He later helped build a centralised African statutory reporting function and grew it from four entities to 19 across 12 countries under IFRS, IFRS for SMEs, OHADA and PGC.
