Candidate Profile for a Financial Analyst

A newly qualified CA(SA) who passed both her ITC and APC first time, this bright and softly spoken finance professional completed her articles at a Big4 firm. She then went on a four-month international secondment in Boston, USA. Her audit portfolio covered asset management, private equity and insurance clients. On private equity work she analysed portfolio companies and financial models, which gave her a solid understanding of investment structures and what drives performance. During the secondment she worked on a large mutual fund audit and adapted quickly to a global team and a new regulatory environment. Assertive without being overpowering, she is goal-orientated and good at bringing a team together to meet deadlines, giving people work that suits their strengths while leaving them room to grow. She has advanced Excel, working knowledge of Power BI and a CFI certification in progress. Her analytical thinking and keen interest in investments and value creation make her a valuable addition to any financial analysis or investment team. Currently based in Gauteng and looking to relocate to Cape Town.
