Candidate Profile for a Senior Financial Accountant

A detail-driven accounting professional with over ten years of experience across financial services, retail and FMCG environments, including more than eight years within a leading South African financial services group. Currently responsible for month-end closure, management reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis and intercompany settlements, while analysing key metrics including Assets Under Management and Net Client Cash Flows. She has supported the implementation of IFRS 17 and new product launches, assisted with regulatory (SAM) submissions and audit liaison, and acts as business partner to the product fund accounting team. Prior exposure includes a central financial reporting controls role, supporting control design and assessments across the group, as well as a systems audit role within retail. Highly proficient in Excel, with experience across Oracle, SAP and Sage, she is recognised for her accuracy, approachability and a natural ability to mentor colleagues.
