Have you run plenty of year-ends and want a contract where you own the whole thing, from the consolidations to the final audit sign-off?
An established investment business backing South African SMEs needs a hands-on finance professional to cover its Financial Manager’s maternity leave. It’s a small, experienced team, and you’ll be the senior finance person taking the group through its Feb year-end. If you like stepping in, taking charge and delivering, this one’s for you.
What you’ll be doing
- Preparing annual financial statements and group consolidations
- Managing the year-end audit to deadline
- Running the accounting for the main fund
- Reviewing financials from an outsourced fund administrator
- Overseeing admin on a smaller fund that is winding down
- Producing management accounts, budgets and investor reporting
- Keeping reconciliations and controls tight, and supporting a finance assistant
- Working in Sage Intacct
What we’re looking for
- A qualified CA(SA)
- Proven experience delivering year-ends, consolidations and audits from start to finish
- Investment or fund experience is an advantage
- Sage Intacct experience is a bonus
- Confidence with senior stakeholders and a demanding board
- Someone who is self-managing, calm under pressure and happy to roll up their sleeves
